NJ LAW is a Television program developed by Kevin Quinn and John Anderson in August of 1987. The idea was born from the coverage of the trial of Richard Biegenwald in 1983,

in which the trial was televised (a first in New Jersey), and then Detective Quinn testified, was designed to educate the public

about the inner workings of the Criminal Justice System and to bring the professionals who work in that system in contact with the public they serve, through a live call in format.

Each show was Produced and Hosted by then Detective/Sergeant Kevin Quinn and continued for 12 years until Lieutenant Quinn signed off.

The below clips are representative of the shows history and a look back into the minds and issues that continue to gather our attention.

I should note that the show was a community effort with the Producer, Host and Guests doing all their work free of charge, even the NJ LAW signature banner was the work of my sister Sheila LeMuene who has since passed.

The show was seen in the central Jersey area on the then, Cablevision Network.
